Why does this UPC label generator lock magnification to 80%, 100%, and 120%?
Arbitrary pixel width and height sliders distort module widths and crop quiet zones, causing retail POS and Amazon FBA warehouse scanners to reject shipments. Under GS1 US General Specifications Section 5.2, a nominal 100% UPC-A symbol is 37.29 × 25.91 mm (X-dimension 0.330 mm) with 9X (2.97 mm) quiet zones.
How do I keep Avery 5160 rows from drifting off the die-cut perforations?
Always set your PDF viewer print dialog to US Letter (8.5 × 11 in) and Page Scaling to Actual Size or 100%. Never select Fit to Printable Area, which shrinks the grid by 3–4% and pushes bottom rows across the sticker cut lines.
How is the 12th Modulo-10 check digit calculated on a UPC-A barcode?
Sum the digits in odd positions (1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11) and multiply by 3. Add the sum of even positions (2, 4, 6, 8, 10). The check digit is the number from 0 to 9 that brings the total to a multiple of 10. For example, 03600029145 produces check digit 2 (036000291452).
